     
What is Reiki ?
Reiki is a universal, golden ray of
healing energy and one of the purest, most ancient forms of Divine Energy in
healing use today.
The Usui System of Reiki (Usui Reiki
Ryoho) is the name given to a method of
natural healing that has evolved from the teachings of Mikao Usui of Kyoto,
Japan. After many years of research, daily practice and meditation, Usui
developed the key elements of the system of self-healing. What we know of as
Reiki in the west evolved from Usui’s teachings and the term Reiki was first
used by Hayashi or one of the other military members of the Gakkai (Japanese
Reiki Healing Society).
Reiki is not a religion and requires no particular belief system. Anyone with
the desire to be healed can learn Reiki or receive a treatment.

Reiki Classes
Reiki is usually taught in three separate levels with time between each
workshop for the student to learn
the techniques taught and to work with Reiki
before moving onto the next level.
How does Reiki work?
Reiki 1 Reiki
2 Reiki 3- Master/
Teacher
The hand positions of Reiki 1 can be taught in one weekend.
During
the course the student of Reiki is attuned by the Reiki Teacher to channel the
energy.
After the first attunement the student is taught the hand positions and
given the opportunity to give and receive a treatment.
Workshop notes are issued
and the student receives a certificate at the end of the weekend.
Reiki is unique in that it offers a method of self-treatment so that the
Reiki practitioner is able to maintain their own well being by giving themselves
a daily treatment.

Reiki 2
and Reiki Teacher training is
usually carried out at a time when both the student and the Reiki Teacher feel
the student is ready for the subsequent personal growth.Reiki_3_-_Master/_Teacher_
Reiki 2 (2 days - $350)
The second degree Reiki class introduces the student to the symbols used for
distant, emotional and mental healing and increases the practitioner's ability
to channel the Reiki energy. To fully appreciate the differences between Reiki 1
and Reiki 2 it is best to leave a period of at least three months before

Reiki Master/ Teacher training is for those Reiki practitioners who have
